The research involved 287 patients with type 2 diabetes, categorized based on their urine albumin to creatinine ratios. The study focused on 13 biomarkers, including transferrin, immunoglobulin G, and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, to determine their diagnostic relevance for early-stage diabetic nephropathy. Statistical analyses were conducted to evaluate the biomarkers' effectiveness in distinguishing between different stages of nephropathy. The findings suggest significant correlations between specific urinary biomarkers and the severity of diabetic nephropathy.
